Fire

Keep Jason in your prayers as he is up fighting the wild fires in Santa Barbara. He left yesterday. What I learned was they fight the fire for 12 hours and then get 12 hours rest. When I was watching the news they said no one was taking a break, so maybe they will work longer than that. As for days away. They can keep him for 14 days before he is sent home. Hopefully he will be home sooner than that. I will write more when I hear more but keep his safety in you prayers. Thanks.

Oh Melissa! Sorry to hear he's gone! I am very proud of him because he's protecting a lot of my friend's homes right now. Several have already evacuated and a few others are right on the evacuation line.

Can you tell him to call me tomorrow if he needs a place to crash or shower? I have plenty of people I can hook him up with for a spare bed or shower if needed. Hope he gets a break soon! (Email me for my cell!)

Hi Melissa (and the boys)! Hang in there! Our prayers are with Jason and you. Wildfires are scary things and with the record tempertures you guys have been facing I hope this isn't a trend that he will have to deal with all summer. Hopefully he will have some down time and plenty of time to rest so he doesn't get exhausted! Call us if you need anything or someone to talk to if he ends up having a long stint out there.

Hang in there and hopefully things get under control sooner rather than later!

Allison called this morning to get Jason's cell number. I know she will try to get in contact with him to offer support. We are praying for his safety. xoxo Ann
