More stitches!

A couple weeks ago it was James' turn to get stitches. After getting out of the pool and wrapping James up in a towel he slipped and couldn't brace his fall. He took 3 stitches to his chin. He was the best patient ever. Here are pics of the injury and Jason taking the stitches out.

Angel Game

We took the boys to their first Angel game. They got a free backpack which set off excitement. They took them to bed and are sleeping with them tonight. They were funny because when we went to use the restroom they asked me to pause the game until they came back! Later a relief pitcher was practicing and they said mom look at that guy, he is so good at playing golf! Too much!

Happy 4th

Jason was awarded HERO OF THE YEAR at the Rose bowl on the 4th of July. Here are pictures from the event. The plaque was beautiful and I will post a picture of it later. We had to give it back because they engraved his name - Janson Hansen.

These are the cream puffs my neighbor brought over to celebrate!

Jason receiving his award. Congressman Schiff presented the award.

Weekend Happenings

This weekend the boys went to a kids clinic at Lowes. They got their aprons but there dads will have to help them put the project together.
Then we went to a train festival in downtown Brea.

My favorite picture running away from the train.

FOTY!

Well Jason is the official FOTY - Fireman of the year. We went to an awards banquet on Tuesday where he was given the honor. He doesn't feel like he deserves it because he does what he loves and so it doesn't seem like work. His new nickname is FOTY! Enjoy the pictures. Doesn't he look good in his Class A's?

Now both boys have had an ER visit

James with his get well card from Thomas.
James showing his rocket.

Last night, I went into help the boys wash their hands from eating chocolate strawberries. I went out the garage door and they went out the front door. All of a sudden Jason and I hear a blood curdling scream. Never heard one before and don't want to again. Thomas ran out first and slammed the door closed not know that James' finger was there. Because of the blood building up under his nail and the immediate swelling I took him to the ER. Thomas cried when we left because he wanted to go with us to make sure James was okay.

James was perfect. They gave him two x-rays and burnt a whole in his finger nail to drain the blood and release the pressure. He didn't even flinch. Right after they drained the blood he immediately felt a lot better. He broke the tip of his middle finger. They put a splint on the top of his finger so he does not bump it. He calls it his rocket so he is really excited. We hope they won't do it again for another rocket!

When we got home Thomas had made James a card. It was so sweet to see their reunion. I just wish I could have used James' Tylenol with codeine because I needed it after this day!

Time flies when you're having fun

This is our tulip garden and below are carrots hanging from our tree. Jason hates it but I love it! He is angry at me about these!
The boys planted tomatoes, carrots, corn, and pumpkins. Don't you just love their too small overalls? But anytime you plant you have to wear overalls. Even though Jason wouldn't wear any I got the boys in a pair. James is first and then Thomas.

Here are the boys and their riding lawn mower.

We had a surprise party for my Aunt Betty and Uncle Wayne. Myself, then Thomas and last James holding my brothers baby Mollie.

St. Patrick's Day is my Mom's birthday. Here she is posing with her prized possessions!

We met the girls at Disneyland. They are all growing too fast!

For Valentine's day we got a heart pizza and the boys wanted these car squeaky toys. We are so glad they went to a good use.

The last pictures were taken when we went to Atascadero. We visited a monarch butterfly migration spot. We visited elephant seals who were in the process of giving birth and others were mating. We also explored the beach. We visited our friends the Lakjer's and Thomas is swinging from their back hill. What a beautiful view. Thanks for the good time.

Boys will be boys!

Our must stop whenever we go up this way!
We have been busy. Much more ahead these next few months stay posted!
